Foreign Ministry holds Special Promotion Event for Hubei | 外交部湖北全球特别推介活动在京举行

"Heroic Hubei: Reborn for New Glories” was the theme of the Foreign Ministry Special Promotion Event for Hubei Province. It was held on the afternoon of April 12, 2021, at Lanting in the South Building of the ministry.

4月12日下午，以“英雄的湖北：浴火重生 再创辉煌”为主题的外交部湖北全球特别推介活动在北京外交部蓝厅隆重举行。

Wang Zhonglin, member of the CPC Hubei Provincial Standing Committee and the Secretary of the CPC Wuhan Municipal Committee, delivered a speech at the event. He praised Wuhan as a heroic, vibrant and promising city, and extended invitations to all guests and friends to visit Wuhan. "The city has resumed its normal vitality," he said. "The city's cherry blossoms in spring, lotus flowers in summer, Osmanthus in autumn, and plum blossoms in winter provide year-round natural scenery. The iconic landmark Yellow Crane Tower has its arms open to all visitors, and the city’s famous hot-and-dry noodles are a good treat." He expressed hope that companies and entrepreneurs come to share in Wuhan’s development opportunities and jointly work for a better future for all.

推介会上，省委常委、武汉市委书记王忠林说，武汉是一座英雄之城，活力之城，希望之城。今天的武汉，恢复了城市烟火气。诚邀各位宾朋打卡武汉，春赏樱、夏看荷、秋品桂、冬观梅，吃热干面，登黄鹤楼，分享希望之城的发展机遇，共同开创更加美好的未来。

French Ambassador to China, Laurent Bili; Brazilian Ambassador to China, Paulo Estivallet; Mayor of Oita City, Kiichiro Sato; President of Honeywell Global High Growth Regions, Shane Tedjarati; and members of the “Iron Man” volunteer team of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) also gave speeches at the event or via video link.

法国驻华大使罗梁、巴西驻华大使保罗·瓦莱，以及日本大分市市长佐藤树一郎、霍尼韦尔公司全球高增长地区总裁沈达理、中国地质大学（武汉）“钢铁侠”丝路国际志愿服务队，也先后在现场或以视频方式致辞。

The event also saw the unveiling ceremony for a commemorative envelope for Hubei, and a special exhibition, dedicated to "Heroic Hubei: Reborn for New Glories," was set up at the entrance to the event venue.

推介活动上举行了外交纪念封揭幕仪式；蓝厅门口还设立“英雄的湖北：浴火重生 再创辉煌”主题展览。

The event was the first promotional activity for a province hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since the global epidemic, making Hubei the only province for which the ministry has held a special promotional event twice. The event was held both onsite and online. A total of 275 international friends, including diplomats and professionals from 155 foreign embassies and 21 international organizations in China, attended the event.

此次活动是外交部在疫情后举行的首场省区市全球推介活动，也是外交部首次为同一省份第二次举行全球推介活动。活动以线上线下结合方式举行。共有来自155个国家驻华使馆、21个国际组织驻华机构的275位驻华大使、外交官、国际组织代表等出席。
