SCO Forum on People-to-People Friendship held in Wuhan | 上海合作组织民间友好论坛在汉举行

6月2日-4日，上海合作组织民间友好论坛在武汉举办。3日发布了《上海合作组织民间友好论坛武汉倡议》，旨在以民心相通促合作发展，推动与上合组织成员国在多个方面务实合作。

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Forum on People-to-People Friendship is being held in Wuhan from June 2 to 4. A Wuhan Initiative of the forum was released on June 3, aiming to promote cooperation and development through people-to-people contacts and to promote practical cooperation among SCO member states in various fields.

来自上合组织成员国、观察员国、对话伙伴国的驻华代表等境内外代表约500人来汉参会。其中国外嘉宾包括：俄罗斯、塔吉克斯坦副国级领导人；上海合作组织秘书长，以及成员国驻华使节, 观察员国驻华使节及对话伙伴国驻华使节。

Present at the forum are about 500 representatives from SCO member states, observer states, dialogue partners, and other domestic and foreign representatives, including deputy state leaders from Russia and Tajikistan; SCO Secretary-General, as well as diplomats from SCO member states, observer states, dialogue partners in China.

连日来，与会各国嘉宾在武汉参观企业、参加分论坛、领略城市文化，感受这座疫后重生的城市焕发的勃勃生机。他们纷纷表示，如今的武汉城市活力十足，发展潜力巨大，具有广大的合作空间。

Over the past few days, foreign guests participated in sub-forums and visited local companies and scenic spots. They expressed that the city now is full of vitality, development potentials, and cooperation opportunities.

1日，参会部分嘉宾考察了位于武汉经济技术开发区的国家新能源与智能网联汽车基地并试乘了无人驾驶汽车。2日参观黄鹤楼时，欣赏了来自湖北大学的200多名大学生带来了瑜伽太极表演。3日参观了湖北省博物馆。

On June 1, some guests visited the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle Base and took a test ride in self-driving vehicles. On June 2, some of the guests visited Yellow Crane Tower. They enjoyed a yoga and tai chi performance by more than 200 students from Hubei University. They also visited the Hubei Provincial Museum on June 3.

上海合作组织民间友好论坛为何选择湖北武汉？上海合作组织秘书长弗拉基米尔·伊玛莫维奇·诺罗夫给出的答案是，因为疫情中看到了非政府、非商业组织的力量。他同时谈道，武汉已经恢复了往日的繁华生活，已成为中国经济最活跃的城市之一。他认为，湖北、武汉有着优越的地理区位优势、丰富的自然资源、先进的生产设施和生产技术等，这些优势都有助于发展与上合组织成员国间的经贸关系，达成双赢合作。

According to Vladimir Norov, SCO Secretary-General, they chose Wuhan to host the forum because they saw the strength of non-governmental and non-commercial organizations in combating COVID-19. He also talked about the fact that Wuhan has regained its prosperity and has become one of the leading cities in China in terms of economic vitality. He believes that Hubei and Wuhan have unique geographic advantages, rich natural resources, advanced production facilities and technologies. These advantages are helpful for developing economic and trade relations and win-win cooperation with SCO member states.
