'Summer of Wuhan' starts | “武汉之夏”开启

The opening ceremony of the 44th "Summer of Wuhan" festival was held at Wuhan Municipal Citizens' Art Gallery on the night of June 19. The festival this year will continue for three months.

6月19日晚，第44届“武汉之夏”开幕式专场文艺演出在市群艺馆小剧场上演。今年的“武汉之夏”将持续三个月。

In the following days, an array of activities, including street music, classic operas, folk art displays, exhibitions and film screenings, will take place.

接下来，还将有街头音乐、经典戏曲、民俗派对、展览及电影等多项活动陆续推出。

Street music performances will be held in places such as the Great Hankou Stage near the Hankou Customs House, Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, Jiqing Street, Lihuangpi Road, and Shouyi Square. A variety of traditional Chinese opera programs, including the Peking, Han, Chu, Yu, Yue, and Huangmei opera styles, will be performed by and for traditional Chinese opera fans. The folk art displays will gather inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, and folk art performers together in several residential communities and invite residents to experience the local culture onsite.

其中，街头音乐将在江汉关博物馆附近的大汉口舞台、江汉路步行街、吉庆街、黎黄陂路、首义广场等地点举办；经典戏曲单元，将组织京剧、汉剧、楚剧、豫剧、越剧、黄梅戏等各个门类戏曲票友和戏曲爱好者交流切磋；“民俗大派对”将组织非遗项目传承人、民俗艺人进社区开展展演，并邀请市民亲身体验。
