Wuhan enters sanfu, the dog days of summer | 武汉入伏

Wuhan ushered in the "sanfu days" on July 11, which mark summer's hottest period. The sanfu period this year will last 40 days.

Today the weather remains sunny and hot with the temperature rising to around 36 ℃. However, the scorching heat will temporarily subside with the arrival of thunderstorms starting on July 13. 今天，武汉持续晴热天气，最高温度直逼36摄氏度。但从13日起，将会出现雷阵雨天气，带来短暂清凉。

The sanfu period in Wuhan is characterized by high temperatures and humidity. Please avoid going outdoors at noon time when the sun is strongest and the temperature is at its peak. If it is necessary to go out, please take precautions such as carrying a parasol, putting on a sunbonnet and sunglasses, and applying sunscreen to your exposed skin.

武汉伏天的高温天气属于闷热性高温。请大家尽量避免中午阳光最强或温度最高时候外出，若必须外出，做好防暑措施，如打遮阳伞、戴遮阳帽、戴太阳镜、涂好防晒霜等。
