2021 ASEAN-China DEDCF held in Wuhan

The 2021 ASEAN-China Digital Economy Development and Cooperation Forum (DEDCF) was held on July 16 in Wuhan. The forum consisted of a main forum and four parallel forums with the theme of the digital economy. The attendees from ASEAN countries arrived in Wuhan on July 14, and visited the Optics Valley Exhibition Center, the China Information and Communication Technology Group, and the Hubei Provincial Museum on July 15.
2021中国—东盟数字经济发展合作论坛于7月16日在汉开幕。围绕“数字经济”有关议题，本次论坛由一个主论坛和四个平行论坛组成。东盟代表团成员于此前的7月14日抵汉，并在15日参观了光谷展示中心，中国信息通信科技集团，及湖北省博物馆。

The 46th Wuhan Yangtze River Crossing Festival took place on July 16. A total of 49 outstanding athletes from professional teams, universities and clubs participated in the highlighted individual races. They set off at 9:15 a.m. from Wharf 1 at the Hanyang Gate in Wuchang and proceeded to the finish line at Nan'anzui in Hanyang. The racing course was 1,800 meters long. Chen Xinkun finished in 12 minutes and 32 seconds and claimed men's championship, while the women's championship went to Yang Peiqi who finished in 13 minutes and 4 seconds.
第46届武汉7·16渡江节于7月16日举行。来自专业团体、高校、俱乐部的49名优秀选手参与渡江节重头戏—个人抢渡长江挑战赛的争夺。选手于当天上午9时15分从武昌汉阳门1号码头出发，至汉阳南岸嘴起水，赛程共1800米。最终陈鑫堃以12分32秒，杨佩琪以13分04秒分获男女组冠军。

Trading in China's long-awaited national carbon emissions trading scheme begins on July 16, launching the world's largest carbon trading system. The market's trading center is in Shanghai, and the carbon quota registration system is located in Wuhan. As a core supporting part of the national carbon trading market, the system is expected to pioneer green industrial projects worth over RMB 100 billion in the central region of China.
7月16日，万众期待的全国碳市场鸣锣开市, 全球最大的碳市场自此形成。全国碳市场交易中心位于上海，碳配额登记系统设在武汉。作为中国碳市场核心支撑系统，该系统落户武汉将带来超千亿元产业，引领中部绿色崛起。

Tencent has announced that its 2021 Tencent Digital Ecosystem Summit will be held at the China Optics Valley Convention & Exhibition Center on Aug. 18 & 19. Leading figures in science, technology and economics will discuss trends in the development of the digital economy. The summit will consist of the main summit, a technology summit, over 40 special industry sessions, and a 10,000- square-meter smart experience exhibition area.

The Chinese Football Association (CFA) released the 2020 China Provincial and Municipal Football Development Health Index Report on July 15. The city of Wuhan had a score of 75.5, ranking it first in both the provincial and municipal football development health indexes as well as in the CFA member city list.
中国足协在7月15日发布了2020年中国省市足球发展健康指数报告。武汉市以75.5分在省市足球发展健康指数排名及中国足协会员协会城市排名中均处于第一位。
National art exhibition opens

The national art exhibition "Glory of a Century · Memory of Wuhan" in celebration of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) opened at the Wuhan Art Museum on July 12. The exhibition showcases a total of 253 artworks, of which 86 works are oil paintings and 167 are traditional Chinese paintings. It is the first national art exhibition held in Wuhan since 2020.
7月12日，“百年辉煌·武汉记忆——庆祝中国共产党成立100周年全国美术作品展”开幕式在武汉美术馆举行。本次展览共展出作品253件，包括油画86件、国画167件，这是继2020年后在武汉举办的又一国家级、全国性美术作品展。
