68 Wuhan athletes compete in National Games

68名武汉健儿征战全运会

The 14th National Games of China started at the Xi'an Olympic Sports Center on Sept. 15 and will close on Sept. 27. Sixty-eight athletes from Wuhan have passed the heats and will compete in 10 events: football, swimming, rowing, badminton, athletics, diving, table tennis, shooting, basketball, and kayaking.

第十四届全国运动会9月15日在陕西西安奥体中心开幕，至9月27日闭幕。我市有68名运动员通过预赛，将在足球、游泳、赛艇、羽毛球、田径、跳水、乒乓球、射击、篮球、皮划艇激流回旋等10个项目中亮相。

2021 Wuhan Rural Travel Festival

2021武汉乡村旅游节

The opening ceremony of the 2021 Wuhan Rural Travel Festival was held at the Wuhan Crape Myrtle Urban Garden Scenic Area on Sept. 10. Over 500 tourists from around the country marveled at the fireworks glittering in the night sky. The festival will continue until Oct. 31. During this period, key rural travel scenic areas will put on a series of featured activities.

9月10日晚，“2021武汉乡村旅游节开幕式”在紫薇都市田园景区举办。灿烂的烟花在夜空中绽放，来自全国各地的500多名游客不时发出惊叹之声。2021武汉乡村旅游节活动将持续到10月31日结束。活动期间，全市重点乡村旅游景区将持续举办多个特色节庆活动。

Four commercial complexes to open

四大商业体将亮相

Four large commercial complexes, the Wushang Dream Times Plaza, the Mixc, Joy City, and the Wanda Plaza, are to open in Wuhan. All of these complexes are expected to open by the end of this year or early next year. The Wushang Dream Times Plaza, the largest of the four, will occupy an area of over 800,000 square meters. Once completed, it will be the biggest shopping center in the world.

武汉，又将诞生4大巨型商业体：武商梦时代广场、万象城、大悦城和万达广场。这些商业体都将在今年底、最迟明年投用开业。其中体量最大的武商梦时代广场超过80万平方米,建成后将成为全球最大购物中心。

Earlier metro service on first day of Mid-Autumn Festival holiday

小长假首日全线网提前半小时开班

As the Mid-Autumn Festival is around the corner, Wuhan Metro announced that all metro lines will start service half an hour earlier on the first day of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday (Sept. 19). Also, it will guarantee sufficient transportation capacity during the peak hours to meet the passenger demand during the holiday.

中秋即将来临，武汉地铁公布小长假行车安排，小长假首日（9月19日）提前半小时开班，节日期间高峰时段投放充足运力，满足市民乘客出行需求。

Universities hold welcoming ceremonies

多所高校举行开学典礼

On Sept. 10, Huazhong University of Science and Technology put on a welcoming ceremony for its undergraduate freshmen. On Sept. 12, more than 7,000 undergraduate freshmen of Wuhan University wearing white T-shirts attended the university's welcoming ceremony. On the same day, South-Central University for Nationalities also held a welcoming ceremony for its 8,418 freshmen, giving them the "first lesson of university."

9月10日，华中科技大学举行2021级本科新生开学典礼。9月12日，武汉大学7000余名本科新生身着白色文化衫，齐聚本科生开学典礼。同日，中南民族大学也举行了开学典礼。2021级的8418名新同学齐聚武汉南湖之畔，上了“开学第一课”。

9th Chinese Opera Festival

第九届武汉“戏码头”中华戏曲艺术节

The 9th Chinese Opera Festival, "Wharf of Opera," officially kicked off at the Wuhan Theater on Sept. 15. As in the past, this festival will highlight various genres of traditional Chinese Opera.

9月15日，第九届武汉“戏码头”中华戏曲艺术节在武汉剧院开幕。延续多年以来的传统，本届戏曲艺术节汇聚多种剧种。
