Train tickets for Spring Festival travel rush available

春运火车票开售

Passengers were already purchasing train tickets at Hankou Railway Station on Jan. 3. This year's Spring Festival travel rush will last from Jan. 17 to Feb. 25. Train tickets for the first day of the peak travel period were open to the public on Jan. 3, which was in line with the 15-day ticket pre-selling policy set by the railway authorities.

1月3日，旅客在汉口火车站售票大厅内买票。2022年铁路春运自1月17日开始，2月25日结束，按照火车票提前15天发售的安排，1月3日，铁路部门将开始发售2022年春运首日（1月17日）火车票。

Wuhan Immigration Service Center put into operation

武汉市移民事务服务中心正式启用

On the morning of Jan. 5, the Wuhan Immigration Service Center was officially put into operation, which provides comprehensive services for expats, including policy consultation on visa (residence permits) application and talent introduction, overseas driving license conversion, work permit application, as well as international notarization and legal assistance.

1月5日上午，武汉市移民事务服务中心正式启用，可为在汉外籍人员提供签证（居留许可）政策咨询、人才引进咨询、境外驾驶证换领、就业许可证申请、涉外公证及法律援助等综合配套服务。

East Lake Plum Blossoms Garden opens

东湖梅园开园

The East Lake Plum Blossoms Garden opened as scheduled at 8 a.m. on Jan. 1. Boasting more than 100 varieties of wintersweet trees, including many rare ones, the garden is among the places nationwide with the richest varieties of them. The garden has over 3,000 of the trees, and the best time to see the blossoms is in the middle of January.

1月1日早8时，东湖梅园如期开园。东湖梅园现植有腊梅品种100余种，其中不乏许多珍贵品种，是全国蜡梅品种最多的地方之一。东湖梅园现有腊梅3000余株，预计园内蜡梅将于1月中旬迎来最佳观赏期。

Predestined love between a Chinese-Russian couple

武汉姑娘与俄罗斯画家的跨国之恋

While visiting an exhibition of Russian paintings in 2006, Chen Min by chance watched a video, in which Pavel Dolskiy taught gypsum sketching. Admiring this talented Russian artist ever since, after years of attempts, Chen got to know Dolskiy in person and flew to St. Petersburg where they finally got married. The couple now live and work in Wuhan with their two-year-old daughter.

2006年，因一次俄罗斯画展，陈敏观看了道尔斯基讲授石膏素描的视频，此后便崇拜起了这位富有才气的俄罗斯艺术家。多年努力下，陈敏最终飞往圣彼得堡见到道尔斯基，并与他喜结良缘。如今，这对夫妻和他们两岁的女儿居住在武汉。

China-Europe freight trains (Wuhan) make 411 trips in 2021

中欧班列（武汉）2021年累计往返411列

On Dec. 31, 2021, the train X8202 departed from Wujiashan Station for Duisburg, Germany, which marked the 411th trip made by a China-Europe freight train (Wuhan) in 2021. Compared with 2020, the total trips made and the value of goods transported by the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) went up by 91% to 411 and 78% to RMB 12.73 billion respectively, with an annual operating mileage of 3.85 million kilometers.

2021年12月31日，X8202次列车从吴家山站开出，驶往德国杜伊斯堡。至此，2021年全年，中欧班列（武汉）累计往返411列，较2020年增加91%，货值达127.3亿元，增长78%，运行总里程达385万公里。

Container throughput of Wuhan Port reaches over 2.43 million TEUs in 2021

武汉港2021年集装箱吞吐量完成243.62万标箱

In 2021, the container throughput of Wuhan Port reached over 2.43 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), rising by 44% over 2019 and 26.06% over 2020, setting new records in growth rate according to the Wuhan New Port Administration Committee.

据武汉新港管理委员会消息，2021年，武汉港集装箱吞吐量完成243.62万标箱，比2019年增长44%，比去年增长26.06%，增速创历史新高。
