Visa service more convenient at Optics Valley | 光谷外籍人员签证时间缩短

On Jan. 6, three expats fromJapan, Canada and Ethiopia got thefirst batch of visas issued at theOptics Valley Administrative ServiceCenter. Foreign residents in OpticsValley can now get a visa in only fiveworking days; the procedure used totake seven.

1月6日，来自日本、加拿大、埃塞俄比亚的三名外籍人员在光谷政务服务中心拿到了在光谷制作的首批签证。外国人不用出光谷，最快5个工作日，就可拿到签证。

Optics Valley is one of the mostsought-after areas for foreigners inHubei. There are now nearly 2,000expats working or living there.

光谷是湖北省内最受外国友人喜爱的地区之一，目前有约2000名外籍人士在光谷工作生活。

"It was a pleasant experience toget my visa today, and the wholeprocess is fairly efficient," saidThalheimer Patrick Charles, theforeign curriculum director of theMaple Leaf International School.

“今天来办签证的体验很愉悦，整个过程效率很高。”枫叶国际学校外方课程校长帕特里克·塔尔海默说。
