Wuhan-Japan direct route sees positive trend | 武汉至日本直达航线市场趋旺

According to Wuhan New Port Administration, the total container throughput of Wuhan Port hit 488,500 TEUs in the first quarter of 2022. The Wuhan-Japan water route saw a significant rise from 2,519 TEUs in the first quarter of 2021 to 6,046 TEUs in the same period in 2022.

4月11日，长江日报记者从武汉新港管理委员会获悉，2022年一季度，武汉港集装箱吞吐量累计完成48.85万标箱。其中武汉至日本直达水运航线一季度集装箱吞吐量涨幅明显，2021年一季度完成2519标箱，今年一季度完成6046标箱。

The jump can be partly explained by the extension of the pre-existing Wuhan-Japan route, thereby covering a larger market and attracting more companies. This route is showing its strength by saving both shipping time and costs, as a result of the shipping throughput increasing in many places.

武汉至日本直达航线货运吞吐量大幅增长，原因主要是去年该航线在原有武汉至日本直达航线基础上进行了延伸，由此辐射到更大市场，吸引到更多企业。另外，随着多地需求的不断增加，该航线在时间和成本上的优势日渐显现。
