His photos and aerial videos quickly sparked widespread reactions upon release, with numerous netizens expressing their keen interest and longing for Hainan.
Fabio Nodari, who boasts a large following on social media, specializes in natural landscapes and cultural scenes and has previously photographed a wide variety of locations across multiple Chinese provinces. In this project, Fabio delved into different regions of Hainan: experiencing the coastal culture of Danzhou’s fishing villages, exploring the historical Yinggehai Salt Field in Ledong, strolling through the Li and Miao Cultural Heritage Park, and discovering rare wildlife in the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park.

During his trip, Fabio’s aerial videos of Hainan on Instagram attracted over 200,000 views. He also created a dedicated Hainan page with dozens of behind-the-scenes photos that captured many “fun moments” beyond his official shots—like dressing up in camouflage to explore the rainforest, meeting a local dog while biking on Sanya’s Xidao Island, and savoring Hainan’s signature dish, coconut chicken.
Under his posts, followers left comments such as, “Making Wanning look like another planet!” Others shared memories of their own experiences in Hainan: “I visited the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center before” and “I’ve been here before, beautiful place.” Fabio’s storytelling through his photography resonated with fans, with comments like, “ Wonderful photos and fantastic story!”
