Why do global buyers choose Yiwu despite tariff pressures?

Facing rising tariffs and other challenges, why do global buyers remain committed to Yiwu? In a recent interview with China News Network, Tao Yang, a vendor at Yiwu International Trade Market District 1, shared her insights.

She noted that many international clients—especially those from the United States—prefer Yiwu to other markets not only for its wide variety of goods and competitive prices, but also because of its well-developed market system and efficient support services that facilitate worry-free sourcing.

According to these clients, it's nearly impossible to acquire such a large volume of small commodities at this quality and cost and within such a short timeframe through domestic production. That's why, even as tariffs rise, they continue to place orders and maintain close partnerships weekly.
