　　[The International Style Of Wuhan]Jang Wan Suk: sow the seeds of modern industrial design

　　"I am living a life that I have always dreamed of, a good job and many good friends which make me very happy,"Jang Wan Suk said in fluent Mandarin, at Wuhan University of Technology, on Dec 31, 2013. He has thought of himself as a half local people of Wuhan City.

　　Jang Wan Suk's father and mother work on architectural design and art respectively. The oriental culture filled him with special longing as a child. When graduated in 1995, Jang gave up the opportunity to work in a multinational enterprise, but chose to pursue further study in Wuhan and became the famous master of aesthetics Liu Gangji’s last disciple. From then on, he rooted deep in the beautiful city-Wuhan.

　　Due to his long stay in Wuhan, Jang started loving Hubei spicy dishes and melting into the local life. When meeting with friends, nobody can find out he is a Korean. His wife works in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law while son and daughter also grow up in this city. Sometimes, his daughter Jang Soo Yoon asked him why he sounded like a foreigner when speak mandarin.

　　Living with wife, teaching students and play tennis with kids in the schoolyard, all of these fill Jang Wan Suk with happiness. "I have lived a dreamed life for ten years since teaching," he said. Although sometimes something unhappy would take place, but he thinks that it can’t become the standards to evaluate this city.

　　Now, Jang no longer feels far away from home. "It only takes 2.5 hours from Wuhan to Seoul by air, just as travel to Yichang by train. Moreover, it is also very convenient to contact with family over internet".

　　Others can hardly recognize Jang Wan Suk is a post doctor of South Korea's Ministry of Education only through his appearance. However, in the eyes of students, this Korean professor is very good at teaching.

　　The anecdotes about Jang Wan Suk, such as playing video on the South Koreans eating raw octopus, taking photos and writing down students' name , and organizing exchange activities between Chinese and Korean students, etc, were uploaded on microblogging by his students and so attracted lots of fans.

　　Some foreigners want to escape from China for smog days, but Jang Wan Suk never has this idea after he went through South Korea's pollution because of great social development in the 1970s and 1980s. "It is an indispensable part in the process of industrialization, and everything will go better." he said with a smile.
