[The International Style Of Wuhan]Gruhn: a French automobile expert in Wuhan

  "I am the happiest Frenchman in China." Christophe Gruhn, the foreign expert from Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co.,Ltd ( DPCA ), said in late November 2013. He rejoiced to seize the chance to work in China, and where, he has a rich experience in living and working.

  In 2010, Gruhn came to central China’s Wuhan from Paris of France and worked in DPCA. He printed Ge Hui on his business card as his Chinese name and he was in charge of the imported parts and components installation and the quality control in the process of after-sales.

  As mentioned of his work, Gruhn illustrated that the auto parts were delivered from France's PSA Peugeot Citroen Group to China, and when the problems took place in the process of usage, installation, or after-sales, his responsibility was to hold teleconference with the relevant departments, so as to analyze the problems and to give feedback on users' experience.

  "What we did is all for the users." Gruhn said, quality control in the process of installation could guarantee cars qualified, and the rapid response to the after-sales problems could ensure driving in  safety .

  During these years, Gruhn fully felt the flourishment of Wuhan automotive industry. Exactly, Wuhan boasts of blossoming automobile industrial development for its own brands as well as the brands from Japan, France and America, with an annual output value of 166.9 billion yuan (about 27.4 billion U.S.dollars).

  The automobile industry has become the first pillar industry of Wuhan. It was reported that Wuhan’s auto sales this year was expected to exceed one million, which could be seen as a great leap forward to the construction of the Motor City of China.

  Gruhn holds optimistic views on the prospects of Wuhan automobile industry. "Chinese standards can be equally good as European standards. Wuhan will soon be the leading sheep in automobile industry as long as in the right direction."he said.

  "I like Wuhan, not only for the automobiles, but also for the life in this city." Gruhn said. The Yellow Crane Tower for Wuhan is equal to the Eiffel Tower for Paris. The Yangtze River bank is like the Seine River bank. They are both ideal places for leisure. Besides, the abundant breakfast  in this city always let him have a good appetite.

  It is funny that Gruhn, as an auto expert, sometimes gets traffic tickets. "Most traffic signs in Wuhan have English annotation, so I can drive according to them, but the traffic restriction signs of crossing bridge are all in Chinese, it’s why I always mistake them." Gruhn said with a smile.

  The three – year contract between Gruhn and DPCA will soon expire, and he decided to continue to stay in China. "In the following time, I will work for Wuhan Shenlong Automobile and Shenzhen Chang’an Automobile at the same time." he added.

  "The experience in China makes me happy and pleasant." Gruhn said sincerely.
